October 27, 2007 Wedding

Sarah & Kevin make a fantastic couple and it's no surprise that their wedding yesterday was a beautiful and relaxed event. And despite the chill in the air, their energy, enthusiasm and overwhelming love for each other kept everyone warm!

The day started in old Brampton and the service was held at the pretty Christ Church. The photos and reception were at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton. There was still some fall colours left and in spite of the cool breeze and faint rain, we all ventured out for a few quick snaps outside.

Congratulations Sarah & Kevin!

When we snapped this shot we said that she kinda looks like Princess Diana - little did we realize that there was an ongoing joke about Sarah wanting to look like a Princess on her big day!

Sorry Kevin, we had to include this as it's an amazing moment! But don't worry, we got one of your buddies too! :)

Every newly married couple gets to ring the church bell! Very cool!

Normally a hay stack looks out of place at a fancy resort but not during autumn!

If you don't like snakes, beware of this place! They have the snake logo everywhere!

This one's for Kevin! ;) Ya gotta hand it to men who are in touch with their emotions!

October 20, 2007 Wedding

Heidi & Kerwood (aka John, Kermie or Kookie!) had a wonderful wedding yesterday at the Rotary Club in Brampton. And while it was quite breezy, and shoe malfunctions delayed the beginning of the wedding, and cute little Victoria cut the photo shoot short by nearly an hour, the day nevertheless went remarkably smooth, the bride, broom and guests simply going with the flow! In the end, the day will be remembered for much love and a tremendous amount of fun!

Congratulations Heidi and Kermie...er, Kerwood!

New Special Effect

As we work our way through thousands of images per week, we often like to go off the beaten trail and try new effects. Trying to find a new twist on sepia (or "aged" photos), we've come up with this design, tentatively called Sepia HD! Comments would be wonderful (just click below!)

Cheers,
Steve & Heidi

October 19, 2007 Wedding

Tania & Michael: Hope you enjoy these before you take off! What a magical event it was ... a whirlwind of love, colorful sunshine & a great crowd - it was a privilege for us to be a part of it.
These are a few of our favorites ... CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO!

October 14, 2007 E-Shoot #2

Rarely do you witness the kind of passion that Alvin and Shelly have for each other. We had to get two lenses serviced because of excess fogging (yes, it was that hot!) :)

Passion aside, this wonderful couple also wanted some "edge" in their images and they chose an awesome spot, starting at the new Michael Lee-Chin Crystal at Toronto's ROM. We actually visited all four corners of Avenue & Bloor, including shots around the Park Hyatt, the Four Seasons and the cool steps of The Gardiner Museum. For anyone still thinking about a location for an urban e-shoot, we highly suggest this spot!

October 14, 2007 E-Shoot #1

While it may have been a challenge to find fall colours in the Mississauga area, High Park in Toronto was just overflowing with the beautiful foliage! And as intoxicating as the vision was, nothing could compare to the energy and pure fun that Shannon and Kris brought to this outing! As many of you know, Heidi and I bring a lot of fun and energy ourselves and we've got to admit that this couple could give us a run for our money in the ol' fun-o-meter!

October 13, 2007 E-Shoot #2

This is the second time we've gone out with Jen & Jamie on an e-shoot and you can already see and feel a huge difference! They are far more relaxed in front of the camera, more playful with each other and they already know how to better pose themselves. As this is part of our new "four seasons" engagement sessions, one can only imagine what naturals they'll be in the spring of 2008 (not to mention on their wedding day!)

And while it was difficult to find fall colours during this crazy warm October (this was supposed to be the "fall shoot" after all), we think the images and colours have come out great!

October 13, 2007 E-Shoot #1

Shannon & Chad are a wonderful couple and very easy to work with. In order to get the very best lighting, we all arrived at the Adamson's Estate just after sunrise (8am) and we were surprised to see that Shannon's father also came down to the water. Of course, we should not have been surprised to see this kind of support since Shannon and Chad actually booked us twice that morning so that they could also get a series of casual shots with their entire bridal party (and yet again, not surprisingly, they too were very easy to work with!) While it was an early start to the day for all, and poor Chad missed his morning coffee, it was a wonderful experience!
