A Shot in the dark!

These mysterious shadows belong to a fantabulous couple that came to see us yesterday. Our company slogan is "We promise you ... we'll click!" - & we did just that on every level! Usually, we 'click' well with people - but in this case, after they mentioned they love our silhouette work, we literally clicked one off for them as they were leaving! Of course, as soon as they left, we had ten more ideas for poses but that will have to wait for next time!

Have We Met Before? :)

Erin & Kris epitomize what we love about photography the most - the human factor. Just about a year ago, Erin & Kris walked through our door not looking for a photographer but looking to buy some used camera gear. Kris is passionate about photography and Erin is very supportive of him. They were delightful to watch and though the sale was done within minutes, they stayed for nearly an hour. And as they drove away, Heidi and I looked at each other and said, "One day we're going to shoot their wedding!" Sure enough, Kris kept in contact and one day we got the email, "We've picked the date and we want you to shoot our wedding!" We are absolutely thrilled to be sharing in their special day! Funny what a small ad can lead to?!

Boston's Winter Not Cold Enough!

Everything was perfect from the moment Zerlina and Alan called us. They were not only travelers like us, they not only wanted a "different wedding" like us, but they were getting married on August 31st, JUST LIKE US!!! The fact that they actually flew up from a warmer Boston to have their e-shoot done on a brisk, cold day in Toronto is where we definitely differ! Anyone - take us south! :)

We had a great time, Zerlina and Alan and have a safe trip home!

The Poet-Maker ...

What could possibly be more romantic than having your man give you his soul on Valentine's Day? Unbelievable but true, my gift this year was just that! Steve has been secretly building a private website featuring his own poetry that I had no idea existed in that hockey-loving bugger! He revealed his 'inner self' to me on Valentine's day - and his poetry is truly magical. Just like Scarlett's smile. What a coincidence ... you'll no doubt notice she's the inspiration of it all!

A family friend stopped by for a quick photo shoot. As you may know, we're up to our eyeballs with renovations (yes, STILL!) but considering we had to step over piles of wood and duck under shelves of steel, I think we pulled off some real stunners. Gabby is an aspiring actress!

Shortly after their recent engagement, Dina's family booked us for an e-shoot as a gift to them. What a fun couple! Completely easy going, open to anything and deeply in love! The perfect couple for this cold afternoon in Burlington! Thanks Dina & Cesar!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Jen & Jamie were now on their third of our new 4/seasons engagement shoot and thankfully their warm and fun-natured personalities canceled out the frigid cold (bbbb...barely!). The location, btw, is Cookstown at the Belcroft Tree Farms Event Centre (where they will be married this May!)

Baby Tyler!

Gwyn and Jason were married in 2006 and we were so happy to be a part of their special day. You could only imagine our joy when we got the call that their family has now grown by one little Tyler and they wanted us again to capture the moment. Here's a sneak peak from yesterday's shoot!

Happy Birthday Scarlett!

While it is hard to fathom, it has been exactly one year since Scarlett's birth. And what a year it has been! Scarlett can now stand on her own, say Mama and do elementary algebra. Okay, we're exaggerating a bit - she's still a bit wobbling standing on her own! :) (she never really crawled!)

For Heidi and I, the year now past has provided plenty of highlights: our home is now being renovated, Daddy quit his day job to be a full-time photographer, we did a stunning trip across Canada's west coast and spent nearly a month on Florida's gulf coast, and finally, we shot over 40 weddings (or close to 100 events), providing us with some absolutely precious memories, some new friends and of course, breathtaking images!

As we sit here, surrounded by power tools and dangling wires, we can only think how good life is!
