ERIN + KRIS ... the wedding

Spring may not have yet quite "sprung" in southern Ontario but plus 2, clear skies and zero wind was like palm beach for yesterday's wedding! What a blast it was to share this day with Erin & Kris - a fellow photographer to boot!

You will never guess ....

.... how many pictures we took in a futile attempt to get a simple smiling headshot of Scarlett! And we're pro photographers!! HUNDREDS! In 1 day - no success.
At this point, we think the sight of our cameras bore her. In her eyes, Mommy & Daddy's faces are big, round black circles. Or maybe she wants to shoot us & she'll continue to refuse us the ability to get the shot we want until we turn over our gear. The second the cameras are put away, she smiles pretty much 99.9% of the time. Bugger! She used to put on such a show for us! (see blog below)

Some great news! ...........drum rrrrolllll please ............ THE LITTLE LADY IS WALKING! Wobbling and face planting here and there, but she's out there and gettin' right back up - it's AWESOME!
Anyways, here's the evidence of that mini-shoot ...

No ... not all blogs will be babyfest blogs - wedding season starts up again this month for us!

(still no 'da-da' but she can call our dog by name now - 'Crunch'!! no joke!)

She says CAT!!

It's official - today Scarlett said "cat". Her 3rd word. Mama - of course (WOOHOOO!) was her first (not that I wanted it to be or anything ...), Bye - "Baaaah" (while flopping her hand) is her second and "caaa" (Cat!) is her 3rd. Odd since she has no cat. She does have a dada though. And dada says "dada" every day, all day, hoping she'll say that magic word before naming every other animal she doesn't have!
